Science IS Interesting!

Understanding Science
Science is a very complex thing. It cannot be broken down to that same old Scientific Method because it is so much bigger than that and deserves more experiment than just what those steps advise. Scientists shouldn't always follow the same steps because it would create the same boring pattern and new things may not be discovered. And they do just that. There is so much more to it than the 5 steps of the Scientific Method. And it's not just scientists doing the experiments every time. Anyone can do an experiment, as long as it's in the scientific community. Science is, in fact, very interesting, and can involve lots of creativity! Science actually relies on the creativity of the people. And finally, science isn't the final answer of everything. Sometimes things that people thought were left finish turn out to be unfinished by new discoveries and evidence.

Virtual Lab
Here, a controlled experiment was put into action to test the infestation levels of corn by using a European Corn Borer. Four different varieties of corn were provided for this experiment. The level of the independent infestation is the independent variable, because it's the only variable that affects the outcome of this experiment. The dependent variable is the kernel weight per ear.
Infestation can effect the growth of plants. It's probably better just to not have infestation, but it is difficult to avoid. But! Remember! You can still sell your corn if it has gone through infestation! Just make sure it's not...infected...

Watch out for that corn!

And remember...
